James and I have been friends since the eighth grade. For years I heard him talk about Bland, about the mountains, the people, and what it could become. When I finally visited, I understood every word. It is the kind of place that stays with you.
There is something about Bland that does not let go. The land is stunning, nobody stays a stranger long, and underneath all of it is a community that deserves more than what it has been given. People should not have to leave home to find opportunity. That is something I feel strongly about, and it is a big part of why I am here.
At Whacker Quest Co, I handle the operations side of the business. Communications, the website, social media, appointments, keeping everything organized and moving. I make sure the work we are doing reaches the people who need it and that nothing gets lost along the way.
I am morally driven and I care deeply about honesty, equity, and making sure everyone has a voice. Building something meaningful in a place this special is not something I take lightly. Bland is worth the investment, and so are its people.
